'Worth the Trouble' by Jamie Beck, a Book Review

Everything's okay. That's the summary of my reaction to this romance novel. Two good-looking, decent people struggle with their mutual attraction, have sex that is enjoyable without being explicit and eventually find a good middle ground with a happy ending. It's okay.

One very nice takeaway is the fact that you're witnessing the lives of decent people. These characters are written as a hardworking, multi-talented model called Cat who's grappling with bad news about her fertility, a loving, self-sacrificing Hank whose mother is suffering from Alzheimer's while he works his butt off, sometimes with Cat and sometimes for Jackson, her deep,  golden-hearted brother in the construction business. Cat's father is lame because he's so superficial, setting a poor example all her life with his low expectations in regards to - not her brothers' capability - but hers.
Care has gone into the personalities and the realistic issues taken on by them.

It's a decent story with some warm, not hot satisfaction in the bedroom, but what matters most is that these fictional people learn their lessons and come out okay.
